I'm 19 and have had restrictive anorexia since I was 13, now I'm recovering is there any chance I can grow even though I'm 19 now I'm 5'7 but much smaller than my family and have barely grown since the start of my anorexia

Hi Smile
I totally understand what you are saying about growth.

having anorexia and restricting food intake causes your body to not grow so much because it is using the small amounts of food/energy you do put into it to just survive and keep it functioning rather than grow!

If you continue to recover, eat well and rest then you are more likely to grow, but you have to take in the right amount of food and rest the body so it can heal. As your body heals it will allow the body to grow as it will have enough energy and the right nutrition to do so!

I hope this helps Smile don't worry, keep strong with recovery and you will get there!!

There's hope that your height will increase if you choose recovery, but you are in a really fragile position now as you are already 19. You must continue with real recovery, eating by the minima and not exercising. You can do it and remeber - you deserve it! Smile

Maybe! I've answered this here: http://letsrecover.tumblr.com/post/83443441759/lovee-our-account-girls-one-question-for-you

Nevertheless, you are 19, so you are more grown than the person asking here. Yet chances are you are not fully grown yet.
